Manual Handling Training – Principles and Practice- Level 2 (RQF)

We all encounter manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing—often combined with movements like climbing or pivoting. Workplace injuries caused by incorrect manual handling account for over one million lost working days per year, along with significant pain and suffering for those affected.

Proper manual handling training can significantly reduce these risks. The Health and Safety Executive has long recognised the dangers of manual handling, reflecting this in regulations and advisory activities promoting best practices. Employers are required to provide their workforce with essential health and safety information, including a manual handling course to educate employees on injury risks and prevention strategies.
